Publication Ethics

The Jurnal Abdimas Cendekiawan Indonesia is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, Yayasan Cendekiawan Inovasi Digital Indonesia (CEDDI). The journal follows the principles and guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (https://publicationethics.org).

A. Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Submit only original manuscripts that have not been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
  2. Provide an accurate and complete account of the research performed, supported by authentic data and references to all relevant sources.
  3. Ensure that all persons listed as authors have made significant contributions to the work and approve the final version before submission.
  4. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that might influence the results or interpretation of their work.
  5. Promptly inform the editors if significant errors or inaccuracies are discovered after publication and cooperate with the journal to issue corrections or retractions when necessary.

B. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  1. Maintain strict confidentiality of all manuscripts and associated data received for review, and never use them for personal advantage.
  2. Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback with clear supporting arguments, avoiding personal criticism of the authors.
  3. Identify any relevant published work that has not been cited and alert the editors to any suspicion of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other ethical concerns.
  4. Decline to review any manuscript in which a conflict of interest exists because of competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with the authors or their institutions.

C. Responsibilities of Editors

  1. Make independent and fair decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of submissions, based solely on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
  2. Oversee a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that reviewers remain anonymous and that all manuscripts are evaluated impartially.
  3. Safeguard the integrity of the scholarly record, publishing corrections, retractions, or clarifications when necessary.
  4. Take appropriate action when misconduct is suspected, following COPE guidelines and making every reasonable effort to resolve ethical concerns.
  5. Disclose any editorial conflicts of interest and refrain from decisions on manuscripts in which such conflicts exist.

D. Responsibilities of the Publisher

  1. Ensure that good publishing practices and COPE standards are applied throughout the editorial process.
  2. Provide the journal’s editors with the independence and resources needed to maintain high ethical and academic standards.
  3. Safeguard the journal’s content through long-term digital preservation and ensure continued access for the scholarly community.
