Editorial & Publishing Process
Jurnal Abdimas Cendekiawan Indonesia (JACI) is a multidisciplinary journal published by Yayasan Cendekiawan Inovasi Digital Indonesia. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer-review process and is evaluated by two or three independent reviewers for its contribution, originality, relevance, methodology, and presentation. Reviewer comments are sent to the corresponding author for responses and revisions. The initial editorial screening assesses fit with JACI’s focus and scope, methodological soundness, and similarity score.
Prior to peer review, the editors run a similarity check using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a similarity score of 15–40% will be returned to authors for revision and justification; highly plagiarized content is not processed. Mendeley is recommended for reference management. The working language is English. Accepted articles are made available online (open access) after completing the peer-review and production stages.
The editors make the final decision based on reviewer recommendations and editorial assessment. Articles sent back for revision should be returned without delay. Revisions submitted later than 20 days may be treated as new submissions. Revised manuscripts must be uploaded via the online submission system. All published content is open access under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
Editorial decisions during peer review include:
Page proofs (galleys) are sent to the corresponding author for final checking. Corrections must be limited to typographical or layout errors; other textual changes (including equations and grammar) may incur charges. Proofs should be returned within 3 days to avoid postponement to a later issue. Authors are responsible for verifying the correctness of the content at the proof stage.
JACI follows the editorial and publishing workflow recommended by PKP/OJS, summarized in the following diagram.
