Journal Business Model

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Ceddi Journal of Information System and Technology (JST) is an immediate open-access journal. All published articles are freely available to readers immediately upon publication without subscription, registration, payment, or embargo.

The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) is USD 40 per accepted article. The APC supports editorial administration, peer-review coordination, manuscript production, DOI registration, online hosting, and long-term digital preservation. Any applicable APC is charged only after the manuscript has completed peer review and received final acceptance for publication.

JST does not charge a submission fee, editorial processing fee, page charge, colour charge, language editing fee, membership fee, or any other mandatory publication fee in addition to the applicable APC. The journal does not offer paid fast-track or priority review.

APC Waivers and Discounts

Authors do not need to apply for an APC waiver or discount. After final acceptance, the Editor checks the institutional affiliations recorded in the manuscript and the OJS submission record. The corresponding author is informed in writing of the applicable APC, discount, or waiver before an invoice is issued.

Automatic 100% waiver. An article receives a full APC waiver if all authors are affiliated exclusively with institutions outside Indonesia, or if the corresponding author is affiliated with an institution in a country classified as low income under the World Bank Country and Lending Groups classification applicable at the time of submission. The latter condition also applies when a co-author is affiliated with an institution in Indonesia.

Indonesia–international collaboration. If an article includes authors affiliated with institutions both in Indonesia and outside Indonesia but does not qualify for an automatic waiver, the article may be eligible for a 50% APC discount or a 100% APC waiver, subject to the journal's available APC support. Eligibility is determined after final acceptance based on the institutional affiliations recorded in the manuscript and OJS submission record. If APC support is not available, the full standard APC applies. International collaboration does not automatically guarantee a discount or waiver.

Articles whose authors are all affiliated with institutions in Indonesia are subject to the full standard APC. Eligibility is determined by institutional affiliation, not nationality. All listed authors must meet JST's authorship requirements and have made genuine scholarly contributions.

APC determinations are made only after final acceptance. Payment, waiver or discount eligibility, and the authors' ability to pay do not influence peer review, editorial decisions, acceptance, or publication scheduling. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and suitability for the journal's scope.

Payment Instructions

If an APC is payable, JST issues an invoice stating the applicable amount after final acceptance. Authors should pay only the amount stated on the official invoice and follow the journal's Payment Instructions. Articles granted a full waiver are not invoiced.

Refund Policy

The APC is non-refundable once an article has been published, except in cases of duplicate payment or a technical or administrative error attributable to the journal or publisher.

Publisher and Funding

JST is managed and published by Yayasan Cendekiawan Inovasi Digital Indonesia. APCs collected from articles to which a charge applies help support the journal's open-access publishing activities. Financial considerations do not influence peer review or editorial decisions.
