Publication Ethics
Journal of Digital Learning Innovation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, Yayasan Cendekiawan Inovasi Digital Indonesia.
The journal follows the principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These ethical standards apply to all stages of the editorial process, peer review, and publication.
Responsibilities of Authors
- Submit only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by another journal.
- Provide an accurate, honest, and complete description of the research, supported by valid data and appropriate references.
- Properly acknowledge the work of others and avoid plagiarism in any form.
- Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and have approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that could influence the interpretation of the research.
- Notify the editors promptly if significant errors or inaccuracies are discovered in the published article and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions when necessary.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts and related materials received for review.
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations supported by clear and reasoned arguments.
- Identify relevant published work that has not been cited and notify editors of any potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
- Avoid reviewing manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.
- Respect the integrity of the peer review process.
Responsibilities of Editors
- Make independent, fair, and unbiased decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts.
- Ensure that the peer review process is conducted fairly and confidentially.
- Investigate allegations of research misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines.
- Publish corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary.
- Avoid conflicts of interest when handling manuscripts.
Responsibilities of the Publisher
- Support the implementation of ethical publishing standards in accordance with COPE principles.
- Ensure editorial independence from commercial or institutional influence.
- Provide resources for professional and ethical publishing practices.
- Ensure long-term digital preservation and access to published articles.
